Dr. Bryan P. Pechous, has practiced ophthalmology in Dubuque since 1989. He also has fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic surgery.  He serves as the Vice-President of Medical Affairs at Unity Point Finley Hospital. Dr. Pechous was educated at Dartmouth College, where he received an A.B. in Psychology in 1978.  Later he attended Rush University where he earned his M.D. in 1983.  He performed his Residency at Tulane University from 1985 to 1988. As a lifetime member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Pechous is also a member of several professional organizations and held numerous board and academic positions.  Most notably: Former Board member of the Unity Point Finley Hospital The Tri-State Independent Physician Association Past-president of the Dubuque County Medical Society Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology. Iowa Medical Society Board of Trustees. Past chair of Iowa Medical Society delegation to The American Medical Association. American Academy of Ophthalmology Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons American Medical Association Iowa Medical Society Dubuque County Medical Society. Dr. Pechous has a special interest in small incision and refractive cataract surgery.  In his spare time, he and his wife Krynn enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling, cooking, reading and acting.

Dr. Lucas Flamich, an Illinois native, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. He then pursued his medical training at the Illinois College of Optometry where he earned academic and clinical honors, was awarded the Metro Optic Contact Lens Scholarship, and graduated Magna Cum Laude to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2014.
After graduation, Dr. Flamich completed a post-doctoral Residency in Ocular Disease at the Huntington VA Medical Center in West Virginia. After residency, he continued to serve the Huntington veterans while mentoring optometry student externs as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of the Illinois College of Optometry, Indiana University School of Optometry, and The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He then returned to the Midwest to provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages in a multi-doctor setting in Illinois. Dr. Flamich has since established roots in Dubuque, and is thrilled to be part of Ophthalmology, PC and the surrounding communities. He is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, and American Optometric Association.

Dr. Flamich focuses on providing comprehensive eye care, with an emphasis on ocular disease management, and a special interest in contact lens fittings that include custom and advanced designs.

In his free time, Dr. Flamich and his wife Stephanie enjoy outdoor activities, sports, cooking, traveling and spending time with family, friends and their dog Otis.
